As the first university named “Rehabilitation” in China, the University adheres to interdisciplinary and takes rehabilitation science as the core. We have the honor to witness the whole process of the University from conceptual design, planning, and foundation to completion in the past ten years, and the unveiling ceremony of the University of Rehabilitation Science for the “Rehabilitation International Global Collaboration and Research Center” and the “Rehabilitation International Global Autism Research Center” at this conference. We sincerely appreciate the University will cultivate and deliver more rehabilitation talented personnel, and also proud that China and the China Disabled Persons’ Federation have made great contributions to the cause of rehabilitation.

Through this meeting, we learned that the country has provided solid legal protection and social support for persons with disabilities through the implementation of laws and regulations such as the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Persons with Disabilities and the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Construction of a Barrier-Free Environment.

In the near future, the organization hopes that the higher education institutions and social service groups in Macau can establish cooperative relationships with the University of Rehabilitation Science. Through co-organizing exchange programs or study groups, we will jointly cultivate rehabilitation talents, share experience, and resources, give full play to the advantages of “one country, two systems”, seize the valuable opportunities brought by the advanced experience and wisdom of national rehabilitation services, and enhance Macao’s role in rehabilitation. Professional capabilities in the field will inject new vitality into the rehabilitation industry in Macao, while actively responding to social challenges such as the aging population and promoting continuous innovation and high-quality development of rehabilitation services.
